What colour blusher suits medium skin tone? advice on a good blusher make?

nars blush in orgasm. it's a universally flattering shade for any skin colour, which is why it's so popular. also, if you're still unsure, you should check out this website

www.makeupalley.com it's a site where you can check out reviews on virtually every cosmetic product on the market used by everyday people. if you click on product reviews, you can search for the type of blush you are interested in and see what others have to say about it. they also give ratings for the product, which is very good if you want to know the best type of cosmetic for you and the best deals as well.

when applying, apply foundation, eye color %26amp; lipstick first. while blush is usually your 2nd-to-last makeup step (before powder), you should experiment with what works best for you. some makeup artists like to apply blush BEFORE foundation for a more 'natural' look.

throw out the freebie blush brush that comes with the blush if you get one. use a professional full brush instead (i like mac's blush brush no. 116), but don't use the same brush you use for your powder.

put the blush on your brush, tapping off any excess or put a dab of gel on your fingers. look into the mirror and smile. this helps you figure out where the 'apple' of your cheek is.

since you want a healthy flush, it's best to apply blush only to apples of your cheeks. keep color light and blended. if you're using gel or cream, dab it on with your middle finger, then blend with your ring and middle finger. the clean finger will pick up any excess blush.

if you've gone a bit too heavy on the powder blush, a bit of translucent powder over it will calm it down. for cream blush, blot the color off with a tissue. since gel and liquid blush 'stain' the cheeks, the only way to lighten them is it wash your face, moisturize and reapply your makeup, this time more sparingly.

then finish your look with a sweep of translucent powder and your done!

hope this helps

For medium skin tones, I suggest using a peachy/coral toned blush. I recommend using a blush by NARS called Orgasm. The orgasm shade is so universal, it compliments any skin tone and it gives your cheeks a nice flush of color that looks natural. Remember, when you apply blush dont have a heavy hand...slowly build up the color to your desire. You can find NARS orgasm blush in any Sephora store or you can purchase it on the Sephora website (www.sephora.com) for $25.00. It may seem like a lot of money but the blush will last a long time because a little bit of the product goes a long way.

Here is the link from the Sephora website so you can check out the Orgasm blush from NARS:
