I've seen advice about how to apply blusher without it looking obvious but they always make reference tot he apple of the cheek. What is this? Is it the highest part of the cheekbone or the hollow underneathe it or what? Somebody said u should look into a mirror and smile to find the apple, but I need further clarification.
And so when its time to apply the blusher, should I stroke it towards the hairline, or should it be from the hairline, and where does the apple fit into the equation? I'm stuckWhere is the 'apple of the cheek' and whats the best method of applying blusher?
Smile!! :-) The area that sticks out (above the smile dimples and where great-aunt Mary would pinch your cheek) is the apple of the cheek. Also known as cherry cheeks. Brush towards the hairline. To determine the color of your blush, pinch your cheek (yes, the apple area) and choose a color a shade lighter. You could also use a bronzer instead.Where is the 'apple of the cheek' and whats the best method of applying blusher?
I always pucker my lips and suck in my cheeks to find my cheek bones. I start with a light pink blush stroking at the bottom of my cheek bones outward and then I apply a bronzer over the cheek bones blending in with the pink blush. That way I have a natural glowy look.
feel your cheek bones and if you can't, smile and the bulky part is the ';apple f the cheek';.Then you start there straight to the back and meke sure not too much and it needs to blend in your skin.
when you smile, the little ';buldge'; that you get in you cheek about an inch under your eye is known as the ';apple of the cheek';. So to answer your question, yes it is the higest point.
And blusher can be used anytime, it all depends on what look your going for and event your attending. For work you'd use a lighter shade of blush. For going out, you;d go a little heavier.
Blush should be applied starting about an inc from the corners of your nose and applied (by brush), storking outward towards the hairline.
Make a smike and tt's the apple of the cheek, between your eye and the cheek area. When apply, stroke towards the hairline. Use a good brush and 1 coat will be equal
