What is the difference between bronzer, blusher and foundation.?

i dont wear any, and just wanted to know what would suit me.i have really clear skin. my skin colour is light brown (im indian). just want to add more life to my face as i usually look tired. What is the difference between bronzer, blusher and foundation.?
Bronzer as a rule is used on paler skin to give you a 'bronzed' been out in the sun look. As you have Asian skin tones I wouldnt suggest this. Opt for Blusher, which is usually more red in colour and gives your cheeks a subtle colour.

Foundation is not need if you have lovely clear skin, as its mainly used to cover up skin inperfections, like uneven skin tone, spots and blemishes.

If you have good skin I would go for a sweep of blusher over your cheeks and finish with a clear lip gloss to finish the look.

Will pep you up in no time!

good luck!

ps

I work for The Body Shop so should know what Im on about!!What is the difference between bronzer, blusher and foundation.?
bronzer makes you look darker %26amp; glows .. blusher gives you a natural color %26amp; foundation keeps your color to stay and hides blemishes. you should use blusher or BARE MINERALS. definately bare minerals
Foundation is used to smooth out the skintone, cover blemishes and even out any inconsistencies in skin pigmentation. This is useful for women who have uneven skin, redness, blemishes, dark patches or age spots. Unfortunately as a woman with an indian background you might have a hard time finding a foundation to match your skin exactly. This is unfortunate as there are so many lovely shades of skintone out there and makeup companies really need to realize that the whole world isn't pink. A brand like Prescriptives is a good bet as they have the widest selection of foundation colors I have found and will custom mix something to match exactly for the most unique skin tones.

If you have fairly clear skin you might do well with a tinted moisturizer. These will add a tiny bit of coverage, giving the face a more even appearance and youthful dewey texture.

Bronzer is used to give the skin a sunkissed look. This is great for women who don't want to go in the sun, or want that glow you get from the sun all year round. The best bronzers have a golden undertone, not a red or brown undertone (these make your skin look muddy). I personally love Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks in Bronze. It is very natural and has just enough shimmer to make the skin look alive without looking glittery or overdone. This is a good one to try if you are interesting in adding life to the face.

Blush is meant to mimic the way a woman's face looks when blushing. It is supposed to make you look youthful and healthy. The best blushes are very bright in color as these will give the most life to the face and if applied correctly will look the most natural. Darker tones of blush tend to make women look older and pale complections look dirty. This is not what you want. I recommend NARS Orgasm blush as it flatters almost all skin tones, but you can experiment with different formulations and colors to find one you like. Apply in extreme moderation to the apples of the cheeks up into the hair line. You can always layer on more if needed, but it is hard to take away if you add too much. Blush comes in powder, gel, liquid and cream formulas. I personally prefer the cream and powder formulations as they are the easiest to work with and stay put the best. Apply both with a brush, use synthetic hair for creams and natural bristles for powders.

you can apply all three, foundation, blush and bronzer to the face. For the most natural look choose to use a tinted moisturizer and either bronzer or blush. It all depends on the look you want.
The one thing that everybody needs (especially if you look tired) is concealer. Use a concealer way lighter than your skintone, and just put some under your eye, then spread it all the way to right under your eyebrow. Yes, like a raccoon except white. It should look like you have on too much. Then pick a liquid foundation, don't go for powder, it looks bad. Take a little on your hand, then spread it with your fingers (no brush, no sponge, thats full of bacteria and it eats half of it!) put some on your nose, cheeks, forehead, chin. and spread it evenly. make it blend a little with your concealer under your eyes, it will balance the concealer. Then add some bronzer , or your blush as long as it is not a pink shade . (orange, sun-kissed, golden shades are good for this) put some on your cheekbones, on your nose, and on your hairline. Make sure to even it with your fingers to make it look more natural. The light color of your concealer + darker tone of your blush or bronzer = you look healthy and sunkissed at the right places ! if you pick a pink or reddish blush, dont use bronzer. Just put it on your cheekbones. (you need to smile at your mirror to know where your cheekbones need color !) good luck !
Foundation is applied lightly to all your face. It covers minor imperfections and forms a base for other make-up.

The variety of tones is baffling and you say you have clear skin which sounds a lovely colour as it is, so you could skip foundation altogether.

If you have the odd imperfection now and again, you could use a bit of concealer, which hides a blemish. Again, you need the right tone.

There are some who say foundation is a must, especially in urban areas, because it can protect your skin from dirt and grime and U.V. rays etc. However, if you wear it, or if you don't, you still have to cleanse your skin at the end of a day, so it really is a personal choice.

Bronzer is usually a glittery, sparkly ';sun-bronzed'; powder which, when applied liberally to certain points of the face gives you a sun-kissed look. It depends on you where you use it, usually it is on the tip of the nose, on the cheeks and a little on the chin and forehead.

Blusher is applied to the cheek area, you need to grin widely and apply it to the apple parts of your cheeks. It is very natural, and helps very pale people from looking too sick!

I use my blusher on my nose tip too. I have a long nose, and it makes it look cuter.

If you have a bronzer that is darker than your blusher, you can accentuate your cheekbones by applying the bronzer under the cheekbones, and a lighter powder above the cheeks; but be careful - if the bronzer sparkles it'll look odd, and if your tones are wrong no amount of blending will stop you from looking all stripey!

From how you describe yourself, I think you should go for the bronzer, add blue-black mascara and use a white Kohl pencil to highlight the inside of your lower eye rims. Also use it to highlight your cheeks (along the eye-sockets). A little lip gloss and you'll be drop-dead gorgeous.

But experimenting is great fun ... take a free night to play with make-up and see what works best on you!
Well, bronzer gives your skin a slightly tanned look...since you have light brown skin, you wouldn't need that. Foundation makes your face look clear and smooth...since you have clear skin, you wouldn't need that either. Blusher puts a little pink in your cheeks...you could use that if you want...sometimes it brings out your eyes. To put it on, just smile and place it on the hight point of your cheeks, but don't use very much. You may also want to use a loose powder...that may help your skin look a bit brighter, and it helps eyeshadow and blush to stay on.

Good luck!!
my friend is indian and she wears dream matte mouse! it is really nice, it makes your skin seem much nicer, and u look really natural, id wear some brown blusher on your cheeks and maskara and you'll look lovely! and not too dun up
well since you have nice skin

dont use foundation it could cause pimples

and you dnt need it

try mineral makeup

its kinda like a powder makeup

or just highlight your cheeck bones

with some bronzer since your skin is brown

try a gold color
You are Indian. What beautiful skin tone you will have. Bronzer is more like a blusher and will give skin a shimmery gold glow. Blusher is used on the brow bone and cheek bone (well just below) to give the appearance of shape to the face. Foundation, however is a coloured cream applied all over the face giving a smooth finish and ridding a spotty or pigmented skin of its colour variations.

You know, with your lovely colouring why not just try a lipstick and define your eyes a little. Good luck
blusher makes your cheeks pink (or any other color)

foundation makes your face monotheist and in one color

bronzer makes your skin color bronzy
Bronzer = makes ur face glow.

Blusher = adds a tint to ur cheeks

Foundation = covers up blemishes and makes ur skin look clearer
ok so lets start off with foundation

foundation is a liquid coverage, to smooth the skin

you can get all types of foundation,

liquid -- for bumpy skin and to give a smooth coverage

here is a example:http://www.boots.com/brandtreatment/prod鈥?/a>

powder -- for oily skin

i would recommend liquid foundation

blusher and bronzer are in the same group

they are for your cheek bones to give your face more of a structure

bronzer gives a tint to your cheeks and is kind of glittery as you are indian and your skin colour is perfect for this all year round

blusher is a kind of pinky colour to give you rosey cheeks

this would suit you too

here are some examples

Bronzer-is to make your face look sun-kissed,so basically a bit tanned

Blusher-to accentuate your cheek bones, you can make your face appears a different shape if you use it the right way

Foundation-gives the face an even complexion.
Foundation - supposed to match your skin and used to even out skin tone, usually applied to the whole of the face. The intention is that people can't tell you are wearing it.

Blusher - supposed to be the colour your cheeks go when you are warm including pinks, peaches, reds. The foundation hides you natural glow and blusher puts it back. Used to define cheekbones and create the appearance of healthy skin.

Bronzer - Supposed to enhanse a tanned complexion with colour ranging from pearl to dark browns, but it is more shimmer than colour. Can be applied to various places on the face to define you features.

Seeing you have really clear skin (lucky ****** ;) ) then i wouldn't bother with foundation. If i was you i'd just get a dark golden bronzer for a bit of subtle sparkle ;)
